The Four Seasons Spread was originally created by Tarot Master Marcia Masino
“Best Tarot Practices”, as a special pattern for divination of quarterly horoscopes.
The Four Seasons is limited to four days of divination in a year: the spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox and winter solstice.
The spring equinox is the first day of Aries, the summer solstice is the first day of Cancer, the autumnal equinox is the first day of Libra, and the winter solstice is the first day of Capricorn. These four days (equinoxes and solstice) are the first day of the official opening of the quarter, so they are the day of stronger energy.
You can look at the next quarter (three months) horoscope and what to pay attention to through the four seasons: spiritual growth, action energy, emotional status, rational thinking, career finances.
Splitting:
Divide the tarot cards into 5 groups:
-
Wands 1-10 plus 4 Court Cards (Operational Energy) -
Grail 1-10 plus 4 court cards (relationship status) -
Swords 1-10 plus 4 Court Cards (Rational Mind) -
Gold 1-10 plus 4 Court Cards (Business Finance) -
Grand Arcana 0-12 (Spiritual Growth)
Shuffle:
Each set of cards needs to be shuffled separately, and the fortune of the season is read out when the cards are shuffled.
After all 5 decks have been shuffled, find the “Scepter” group and place it in front of you. Flip the back of the card against you, and use your left hand (or unwritten hand) to run across the back of the card and pick the card that you can sense the most appealing to you.
Draw the “scepter” card that appeals to you the most and place it in the 1st position of the array.
Repeat the above steps.
Put the “Holy Grail” card in the 2nd position, the “Sword” in the 3rd position, the “Gold Coin” in the 4th position, and the “Great Arcana Card” in the 5th position.
Flop:
(1) First, turn over the 5th card: “Grand Arcana” from right to left.
This card represents the key points of your entire quarter: your life issues, your spiritual growth, and the areas that need to be studied and focused on.
(2) Next, turn over the first card, which is the “Scepter”.
This card represents your actions, true feelings, desires, demands, wills, etc., for the quarter.
(3) The position of the second card is the “Holy Grail”.
This card represents your emotional development, mood, intuition, interpersonal and other aspects during the quarter; Including the relationship and feelings between you and the object can be reflected in this “Holy Grail” card. It also represents your personal intuition for the quarter.
(4) The position of the third card is “Sword”.
This card represents your rationality, IQ, planning, attitude, cognition, thinking, etc. Include the process and manner of thinking, the content or the topic.
(5) The position of the 4th card is “Gold”.
This card represents your work, finances, security, financial fortune and other aspects of the quarter.
Q: Does the date necessarily need to be so dead on the card?
A: Every normal day, the four days before and after can measure the four seasons card array. But the energy of the day is the strongest.
